For my final free choice blog, I’m gonna talk about my final upcoming dance competition on Saturday. I’ve been in dance for years now so I know how competitions usually are. Except this one is much more important since it is finals. We have a complicated but really fun dance and I’m super excited but at the same time, I’m very nervous to mess up since I’m also doing a solo right after my group dance. Last year’s finals, my team and I won 2nd place, we’re really hoping we win 1st this year.

How did I get here?
ReplyDeleteA very interesting thing that has happened when I was in grade three was that I was in Japan for my dad’s work and one day there was a huge earthquake. That day was a school day but it occurred in the afternoon so I was at home, back from school. I was in my house with my mom and my dad was in the metro coming back from work. I don’t remember much but I do remember that something funny had happened: I told my mom to get under a table because that’s what I had learned at school but the thing was the table I wanted to get under was a glass table!! So, my mom told me why we couldn’t hide under that table and that we’d have to go somewhere else. Another funny thing that happened was that my mom taught me that we had to open the door in case something fell and blocked our exit but I told her to close it because it was too cold!! I wasn’t worried because the houses in Japan are made for earthquakes but I was worried about my dad because I hadn’t heard from him yet. It was a very big earthquake, it had a magnitude of 7.3!!! Luckily we were not hurt and we were safe and sound!

ReplyDeleteI’ve had to listen to my brother most of tonight working with his partner for their debate for their Grade 9 English class. Actually, I thought their conversation was going to be pretty boring, and, as I listened in, I started to get distracted, and found myself wanting to speak up.
They are defending the point that the St. Thomas dress code is not sexist. At first, I probably started by thinking like most girls that the dress code is sexist. But, after listening to their arguments (which actually made pretty good sense), I actually do think the dress code is a good thing. I’m actually looking forward to debating in Grade 9. Bring it on!
For this blog I am going to talk about my birthday. So for my birthday my parents got me two things or you could say one thing that I have always wanted since I was 7. Those two or one category of things are guinea pigs! For my birthday my parents went out to Nature with me and I got to choose 1 month old baby boy guinea pigs!!! I chose to name them Moka and Caramel. I named them this because one of their colours. One looks like caramel and the other guinea pig has colours that look like a mocha frappuccino. I chose to spell the name wrong for Moka because when I was little I had another guinea pig named Coco but I was so small I did not know how to spell and I spelt her name wrong, so I made it a tradition in the family that whenever we get a guinea pig we need to come up with a different way to spell their name.

Deletefor this blog im going to wright about my last name well it all started with my x15 great grand father dying at fort beausejour in new Brunswick and his last name martel and after he died he became marteldibeausejour (his son) they later on dropped the martel part and after one brothers wanted to put it back and the other one didn't and they fought and they later on split up and one became martel and one dibeausejour and after 30 years they dropped the di part and that is the story about my last name

The one thing I like about blogs is they are a fun way to get us right unlike other classes we're we have to type essays. Teachers need to realise that we are supposed to have a life outside of school. We spent 8 hours at school constantly working and then they slap us in the face with more homework. I understand if u get work because you didnt finish it in class but come on. More homework. Our homework shoulkd be to go loutside and have a really good time with our friends and family. First of all school is okay but its stressing me out because of all the work that we are doing and all the test and stuff is honestly killing me. Also this month i am moving from Pierrefonds to Pointe-Claire and i never realized how much stuff we have in our house and its actually crazy. Also my sisters are getting on my last nerves and i haven't seen my dad like in 3 weeks. So basically RIP my life.

ReplyDeleteFor my final blog I will be blogging about the year (yes,it is because i'm lazy).In the beginning I was pretty nervous but when I met all my teachers I soon figured out that it was going to be a fun year, One of my favorite classes was and always will be, English, this class was so much fun, and every book we read was incredible and a pleasure. All of my classes were amazing but English was one that really stuck out, and was one that I was always excited to go to. All in all my school year was amazing, and very fun and I can't wait for secondary 2.
ReplyDeleteFor my free blog, I decided to write about my birthday weekend this weekend. Friday, May 19th is my birthday and on the day off, I was supposed to spend the day with Mane but... now, we have school Friday which sucks. But, the rest of the weekend is going to be really fun. On Saturday morning at 3am, my aunt, my sister, my mom, my cousin and I are all going to Boston for my birthday and for the long weekend and we are coming back Monday night.
ReplyDeleteI`m gonna do a blog on my first ever blog, and how I`ve changed so much since then. I remember my first blog, how it was back in septembre near the beginning of the year, on the fairy tail, where we had to mention our favorite one. Man have I changed a lot since back then, I`ve gone back to read my post, I was so stressed cause I had not read many fairy tails, I made my first one on a childhood book I had read, but he wanted fairy tails, so I sort of had to chose one I didn`t like, so I chose Hansel and Gretle and the remade version was late because, well I had to remake it. But now I make sure every blog is done on time and I know the subject matter, so I`d say I`ve improved.
ReplyDeleteI am really stressed. You'd think on the last month before exams teachers would take it easy, but I getting a lot of homework. To add on to that I have to complete like 8 more IB reflections. I'm also really nervous for our exams. If I don't do well it could mess up all of my grades. we also have a bad exam schedule. We have 2 exams on one day, except for one day where have 1. Hopefully I do well on my exams.

DeleteI'm going to talk about the animals in my house and the soon to come ones. I currently have 12 pets in my house, but I'd like to think I have 14. Keep in mind that 12 of my pets are fish. I say I'd like to say I have fourteen because my grandmother has a bird and a fish (included in the 12 I mentioned earlier) we always say that we share pets so that's why I say I have fourteen. At my house I have a twenty gallon fish and an ADORABLE doggy named Ruby!!!! (who if I might add her birthday is on Saturday) At my grandmother's house we have one beta fish named Blue and a "serin de mosambique" bird named Clavelin. Now about the soon to come animals my family is going to buy a house soon and when we do we're going to get a second dog (either: german shepard, rhodesian ridgeback or husky) we haven't decided which yet but it'll be one of those three. The other news about animals is my grandmother on my mom's side (the one with the bird and fish) has been wanting a Maltese dogs for quite a while now and for her 50th anniversary coming up on February 17th 2018 we are going to give her a dog!!! I know it's a while away but it'll be worth it!

DeleteFor my last blog I will be talking about the false alarm shooting in Fairview last weekend. I heard about the situation and what had happened from my sister when my family and I picked her up from work. She had told us what had happened and how she saw 100 people running out of Sears at the same time. She ended up safely getting out, but the situation really impacted her and her coworkers. What really upsets me about the whole situation is that these people that robbed The Bay changed so many people’s lives who were just shopping. For example, a four year old kid could have just went shopping with their parents and all of a sudden they have to start running out of the mall. After that happens, the parents obviously have to explain to their kid what had happened. Something that scary can affect a kid, teenager and even an adult. It’s very rare that anyone who comes out of a shooting or a false alarm shooting isn’t shook up. If the people didn’t make the bad decision to rob The Bay, they wouldn’t have caused such a big commotion and scared so many people.
ReplyDeletefor my final final final blog i'm going to talk about my summer. so this summer my best friend who lives in haiti is going to come visit me beacause i legit haven't seen her in a whole year. when i was in haiti me and her were super super close and we still are cause we facetime like everyday. when she comes we're going to spend a week here and she's gonna meet all my friends and we're gonna go to la ronde with bella. thennnnnnb me and her are going to go to sleeping camp in new york for 2 weeks. when we come back we'll hang out for another week and then she'll go back to haiti. when she leaves i'm gonna convince my parents if i can go to the kendrick lamar concert with bella in august. that's pretty much gonna be my first summer in canada and yaaa
ReplyDeleteWow! It's the final blog already? Personally, I find that the year has gone by very, very quickly. For this final blog, I am going to talk about what I'm going to do over the summer. First off, I just wanted to say that probably one of the best parts of summer is that there is absolutely no stress, or homework. It's a time to relax, go to the beach and spend some time with your family and friends and that's what I'm really looking forward to do on my summer break. I am also really excited to start my golf lessons again, so that I can play against my family. I also go to my cottage in Maine every year, and I love it so much. I get to see my family and friends, and our house ids right across from the beach. I am so ready for summertime!

For this free choice blog, I am going to write about the things that I like to do in my free time. I love to read books! At the beginning of the year I kind of stopped reading books, but that was until I did some research on what novels I would be interested in. Recently, I have finished the Selections series and I am now reading the third and last book of the Infernal Devices series. I plan on reading the sequel to the Infernal Devices, called the Mortal Instruments. I also love to listen to music and do some work, especially math. Sometimes, when I am bored or I have some homework to finish, I sit at my desk, put my headphones on and listen to the radio and I don't even realize when the time flies! The thing that I like to do the most is watch TV. I have something I can watch at almost every half-hour so I am never bored. Lastly, I like to watch YouTube videos or watch MasterChef or The Amazing Race on CTV in my spare time.

The ones who would do anything to see you smile and happy. No matter what happened they will always love you with all theirs hearts! Without my family, my life would be completely different. ReplyDeleteFor my last blog, I’ll talk about how I feel about the final exams. I tend to get nervous and I often stress a lot when comes exams time. And this year is not different. I’m very nervous and I’m already stressing about my final exams. Actually, there’s one difference this year; I’m much more nervous than usual. I get nervous just thinking about it. The main reason I’m so nervous is because I want to do well and get great marks.The exams are worth lots of points in the final report cards. If I fail one of those exams I will never forgive myself! I’ve worked so hard all year long! I’ve already started to study, but there’s a lot to study. I’ll do my best and I’ll get prepared by studying everyday before the exams.The annoying thing that some teachers do is that they give out study sheets to help us study and prepare for the exams but the questions on the exams are about everything but what’s on the study sheets. That’s very frustrating and I hope they don’t do that to us, especially in sec 1. We’re already stressed enough with this being our first year of highschool and all.

DeleteI gonna talk about how I feel now that there are few weeks left school. I could say I am relieved that the year is almost over but exams are at the end some worth a lot of marks some less and I have a couple a projects due soon. I am not super stressed though because I know what is due when and when I have time for work and study the Idea of exams do not really bother me because just like the winter exams there was time for study and a good break is after. School did go by really fast like what a lot of my teachers said and I can almost feel the summer coming with the temperatures outside.

As I write this, I am doing a math project. I've been working since around 9:00 pm. I had my stupid music concert. It was really boring. All I want to do is write for my story. I am super tired right now. My brother started to call out for someone about an hour ago. No one knows I'm awake. I'm on the last part of my project. I hate school when it comes to the work. It piles up and then it gets to so much you get crushed. School adds stress, anxiety, sadness, pressure, etc and I can't take it anymore. School has broken me, beyond repair. Too much/many tests, exams, projects, assignments, homework, people, etc. I can't wait until the end of the year so I can calm down from my permanent anxiety symptoms. And the worst part, it's that is only a potential outcome, and I have no way to fix myself.
ReplyDeleteFor this free blog I will be talking about my school year. For me this has been the best year of my life. When I was in elementary school I was shy to be who I wanted to be and acted like the other girls because I was scared to be judged but this year I acted like myself and made a bunch of new friends who are friends with me because of who I am. I also love the freedom that we get in high school. In high school you don't have teachers watching your every move. Also you don't have to wear snow pants in the middle of May! I also love my teachers. They are so fun and the absolutely the best. Some friends of mine always complain about how they dislike their teachers. Even though some of them may be strict, they are still fun! Overall, this was a good way to start high school for me!

For this free blog I am going to talk to you about one of my pass times that I do all the time drawing. It is my favorite pass time because I enjoy it a lot and I am fairly good at it. I enjoy art class because to me it is a free period mostly because I am doing something that I love to do. When I get home from school I go to my desk and draw. I also like to paint but the paint is expensive and the setup is long. Anyway that is my favorite pass time.

DeleteFor the last and final blog, I'll write about summer, since it's so close. I love summer so much! It's so hot and fun because there is no school. I'm really excited for summer because I'm only going to camp for 2 weeks and then I might go on vacation with my family. And when I get back from vacation I'll be able to hang out with my friends and take a break from school, it's stressful. There's about 3 weeks until summer and I'm really happy for school to end soon.
