In the novel Alice in Wonderland, Alice decides to follow a white rabbit in a suit down the rabbit hole.

Obviously Alice is very CURIOUS to where the rabbit is heading and why he is in a hurry!

Tell me about something that you are CURIOUS about?

When you are curious about something, how do you find your answers?

Is it good or bad to be overly curious?

Explain.

  1. I used to be a VERY curious person and I used to be curious about almost everything but I've never been snoopy so I used to ask what the answer was and if I didn't get it I would just leave it. I tend to get curious about things that are important to me or if sometimes it's very quiet and people are talking I'll in my head be like what are they talking about. I don't think it's good to be overly curious because it isn't good to invade people's privacy and if people are too curious they might go and read others diaries and things like that, which is wrong to do.

    1. Yep! Invading the privacy of others is definitively wrong and can be dangerous! Great blog! :)

  2. I don’t think that I am a super curious person, however, when it comes to grades, I always want to know how I’ve done. When I started in Grade 7, I think I probably drove my teachers crazy asking them for my marks. As the school year has progressed, I think I have learned to be more patient and a little less obsessed. That doesn’t mean I don’t care anymore, but I guess I have matured a lot. I think there needs to be a balance when it comes to curiosity. Too much can lead to becoming paranoid, and too little doesn’t allow one to be adequately informed.

    2. I totally agree that being over curious can make a person obsessed, but having no curiosity can leave you uninformed. Great blog!

  3. Sorry Mr Katz but I’m not a very curious person! I’m rarely curious about things. I like to solve mysteries and I’ll look for my answers by searching online or by questioning my family or my friends. If I were Alice, I would NOT have followed the rabbit down the hole! After all, CURIOSITY killed the cat! I think that the reason why I’m not very curious about things is because I hate not knowing. If I would be curious about something, I wouldn’t give up until I know exactly what the thing is, how it’s made and what’s it for. It would drive me crazy not fill out my curiousity. So, I choose not to be curious.

  4. I used to be a very curious person, but now I'm not as curious. Something that I was curious about when I was 7 would be what my parents got me for Christmas. I am normally curious about things when people leave me on cliffhangers when I'm speaking to them. When I am curious about something like my example above I will normally find my answers, yet once I got the answer to what my Christmas present was I was not pleased. If you do what I do and ask many people for the answers and then look yourself for any proof you should find your answer. If you do find your answer using my way, I think it is a bad thing to be overly curious because you will annoy the people around you to get the answer your looking for.

  5. I don’t think I would be as curious as Alice was, if I saw a talking rabbit go down a hole I would run away in shock and wouldn’t follow him. But then again I am curious with some things. For an example, when I am watching a movie or reading a book I like and there is a cliffhanger I always want to know what comes next and will definitely try very hard to find out. The way I would find my answers to what I’m curious about depends on what it is but I would most likely ask and if I don’t get an answer then I would do some research. If you are too curious it could be dangerous, like Alice followed a rabbit down a hole and she didn’t even think about her actions before doing them. Being curious is a good thing but you also have to be cautious.

  6. it can be a god and bad thing being over curious for example when I get curious I try and find everything about it but being over curious can lead into trouble sometimes and that not you intend on digging up being curious is good for being a cop and other things like that.

  7. Something that I am curious about is what my parents were like when they were younger. I always want to know if they were like me when they were kids and how they grew up. I always want to hear stories from them about what they were like when they were kids and teenagers. So how do I get those answers, well simply ask them. I ask them to tell stories all the time because I find it interesting to know what they were like at my age. I do think that being overly curious could get you into some trouble, but if you know your limits of figuring something out, being overly curious isn’t a problem for you.

  8. I am not a very curious person, but when I am, I get curious about what people are thinking. I love to know everything about people, and the way they are feeling. Unfortunately, it is extremely rude to ask about people's personal life or get all up in their business, so their is no easy way to find the answers that I am looking for. Being overly curious can be a good and bad thing, for instance: curiosity can fill you brain with knowledge, but getting way too curious could lead you to information that could potentially hurt your feelings, or scar you for life!

  9. I think that I am a curious person. I get curious about what people are thinking and I also get curious when my friends are sad. I like to know what people are thinking and what they are feeling. I get curious when my friends are sad because I want to know why they are sad and because I do not like when my friends are sad. I normally find my answers when I ask whats wrong or is everything ok. I don't ask those questions to answer what people are thinking, but I do it when my friends are sad. It's good to be curious but not overly curious because it fills up your mind then that's the only thing you can think about.

  10. I get very curious when I hear or see something that I don't understand or know about. My greatest example of this was when I first learned about mythology, and I was so curious that I tried to learn all about it, which I'm still trying to do to this day, learning about mythology was one thing that will always have me curious about if I can learn a new story, and learn about new deities. The way I found my answers was by reading books, and through the internet. Personally I find that curiosity is good when you want to learn something but it can be a bad thing.

  11. I'm curious about a lot of things like wondering what goes on in the hockey players heads when they are playing a game. I play a lot of sports including hockey but the NHL players are playing with full on contact and they can end up in the hospital at the end of a game so I wonder if they are worried about getting hurt.

  13. When I was little I was curious. I always wanted to know what I was getting for my birthday or for Christmas. It drove me crazy. What if I didn't like the gifts my parents got me. I always wanted to know everything. To get my answers ask my brother, to go ask my parents what they got me as a gift. But that didn't work. Being curious is good and bad. You don't need to know everything.

  14. Something that I am very curious about is what people think about. I am very curious about that because I would want to know what people are talking or thinking about or if they are talking about me behind my back. I also get really curious when I see a police car with its lights on. I want to know where they are going and why they are going there. I usually don't find my answers about these type of things because people wouldn't want to tell me or they would just lie right to my face. Depending on what you are curious about it can be good or bad. If you want to know if people are talking about you it's not that bad, but if you want to know something that is a secret it is bad.

  15. I'm not that curious most of the time I don't really care what's going on. Sometimes I do get curious if my parents are talking to eachother and don't want me around. Or after a test I'll want to know what I got on the test. One more thing that I get curious about is when I'm watching a TV show and I have to wait a week or more to watch the new episode. I'm not that curious

  16. I'm a very curious person, I could've sworn I was a partial Philosopher, always asking questions. Only I am also determined to find the answer, all the time no matter what it is. Though I'm able to decide sometimes that it will never be solved, such as cosmic mysteries or other life in this universe, though sometimes it's just about finding out what a song means, so it's very varied. It's good to be overly curious, that's sort of what created philosophers, asking questions, trying to understand with the best of our knowledge to answer their questions.

  17. I'm a very curious person. I always want to seek more knowledge and learn more. People think I'm weird and strange because of it, but it's not my fault! It's not my fault I want to know the answer to random questions answered! Late night Google Search Sessions can be very useful. So can watching documentaries, reading books, articles, etc. But there is a limit. There is seeking knowledge and answers and just general normal stuff for a human being. Asking a lot of questions is normal and can prove a lot about a person. But there are the people who go to another extreme, like scary and or dangerous curiosity. Making people uncomfortable and or doing something that puts other and or yourself in a dangerous situation is not acceptable.

  18. I'm really curious, so curious that sometimes I think of the craziest things. I'm mostly curious when people talk about me (like my parents) or when people keep secrets to themselves and make me wonder. I also do get curious when I watch a movie/show or even when I get a mark on an exam or test. All of these things make me so curious and when I end up figuring it all out it makes me feel less and less worried. I think that it's good to feel a little bit of curiosity because then your life isn't as basic and get to experience more emotions.

  19. I am a very curious person. I'm very curious about scientific things or sometimes the weirdest and craziest things. I feel mermaids can exist because scientist have only discovered 5% of the ocean and there is more water on earth than there is land. Or that there is life on other planets, there has to be. Do you how many planets and different solar systems there are? Or galaxies? What if there are more senses that we don't have that could make us do a lot of different things. I also very curious about historical things.

  20. I was a very curious person and I still am today. I always want to know the reason behind everything. The thing I am most curious about when I'm in school is my report card. If I get a bad mark, I want to know why. Right now, I am reading the Selection series and I just finished the first book. I am very curious about what is going to happen in the next. Every time I am reading a book that is part of a series, I am always curious as to what will happen in the next novel. If I want to know something, I ask the person what I want to know or I just forget about it and move on. Being overly curious isn't really a good thing because sometimes it's good not to know some things and it could be frustrating when you don’t find your answers, but it's hard to help it when you really want to know something.

  21. Generally I am mostly curious about the definition of a word or I am dumbfounded by a poorly constructed question. The most obvious and simple solution is searching it up on google or asking someone. Can someone be over curious generally that should not really happen in my opinion unless someone random stranger is trying to pry their way into your life suddenly. Curiosity is basically the thought of a question to obtain more knowledge.

  22. I was curious about how all living things and the eartyh was first formed.I always astonised me because It was so wast and was so complex.I wondered how all the animals all started.I decided to find a book about these things and found out that it was micro organisims that roamed the eath millions of years ago.I think that it is important to be curious in the right way because you can either get in trouble or learn something new.
