This past weekend, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States of America.

Over the weekend, there were MANY protests, including a massive organized protest by women!

Why were women all across the world protesting?

    Women were protesting from different parts of the world because now that Donald J. Trump was elected and has had his inauguration women’s rights won’t be as valued. The women who participated in the women’s march are feminists and will not let Mr. Trump have his ways. It is very important to stand up for your own rights. Women are very important because they fight for women’s rights, especially the women who came before us. A very important woman in my life that I admire and look up to is my mother.

    People all around the world are protesting for women's rights, especially because Donald Trump became the president of the United States. His goal is to eliminate all of women's rights because he thinks they are not important. Not important? Well, I think that Donald Trump should be afraid. This isn't the 16th century! Woman will stand up for their rights, it is how this generation was raised. Someone who taught me this is mom, and I admire her a lot for this. #mom

    I think that the women who protested had all the rights to do so. They know exactly what kind of person Mr. Trump is and they know exactly what’s going to happen with him in power. They don’t want their great country to be destroyed by the first ever non politician, not educated, openly racist and sexist president. I feel very bad for all the american women! Their president don’t respect women and don’t recognize women as equal to men. It’s like we’re going back in time. I especially feel bad for the americans who didn’t vote for Trump because they’re going to have to put up with him for the next four years!

    I think that women are just as important as men. Both men and women do very important things. Men should not be higher than women or the other way around. It should always be equal. No matter what.

    A woman that I admire very much is my mother: Johanne. She’s a very hard worker and in my opinion she’s a superhero! Sometimes, with only a few hours of sleep, she’ll go to work and work long and hard hours, then she’ll come home, clean the house, cook dinner, wash the dishes, prepare lunch, help her kids with their homework and still find time to tuck me in with hugs and kisses. To me, that’s insane! I love her!

    Women from across the world were protesting to preserve their dignity, their character and their rights. They believe that Donald Trump is going to undo many of the rights that many of us in the world have fought for. They also want protection for immigrants.

    Women are as important as men. Why is this such a hard concept to understand? Women contribute in the work force, in society and in the home environment. Women are definitely equal to men.

    I believe that women all over the world were protesting because they believe Donald Trump is not suitable for the position as president of the United States. He is not suitable as a president because he has an affair with complete strangers that are women and sexually harasses them when they don't want to be. Then he says that they weren't "hot enough" for him to sexually abuse. Women are important in today's world because they have fought for a very long time to gain the rights and privileges that they have today. Women only recently got the right that they have to be paid the same amount of money for the same job as a man. #MyMother #MyGrandmothers

    Women all over the world were protesting because they all knew that trump wasn`t the best leader, especially since he is openly racist, sexist and just a crude person. If I were an American I too would be pretty upset that someone like Donald Trump is the president. Women are very important in today's society and saying otherwise is simply false, we need women in today's society to do all the things we would need a man for, there is no difference between the work a women can do and the work a man can do. One woman in my life who is super important is my mother, she is always there for my sister and I, she is always helping out and is so important to me.#Mymother

    Trump is Racist, Sexist, Homophobic, Rude, I could go on for so long. Oh course women are protesting! Women are extremely important in today's society and in the past too people just never realized how important they are. No women=No people. Some of the worlds smartest and strongest people are women. I'm not saying men aren't smart or strong, I'm saying that women are alongside men. Some of my personal role models are UN Goodwill Ambassador and Feminist Emma Watson. I look up to her with the highest respects. She inspires me everyday.She a strong and smart women who fights for her cause. Another woman I look up to is Angelica Schuyler. Not because she is important in the story of Alexander Hamilton, but because she fights for what she wants but also gives up important things to her for someone else. For example, she stood up to Alexander when he cheated on her sister Eliza. She also gave up the love of Hamilton (way before he cheated on Eliza) to her sister. That takes strength to give up the love of your life for your sister. I also look up to Marie Curie, the woman who found the element of Radium which is now used to cure some types of Cancer. She kept on working on her projects until she died. When she married Pierre Curie, they worked together as equals together in Marie’s research. But, at the time, with the discovery of Radium, all the credit went to Pierre even though she was the one to have discovered it. She worked until she died from Radiation exposure from her work and helping the wounded from war using Radiation.     Because of Trump becoming president in the US, hundreds of thousands people were marching all around the US. Most of the signs said that “women's rights are humans rights”and also said “ nasty woman scorned”. Because Trump said to Hillary Clinton “nasty woman” during a debate, many women had felt very hurtful for a woman's rights. Women are important in today's world but men are a little bit more important.

    Women across the world are protesting they are probably thinking how could people possibly have voted for him. Donald Trump wants to eliminate women's right. We fought for a long time to have right to vote, work etc. and he wants to take that away. Woman should be equal to men. They are important because they went through so much trouble so we could vote, go to school, work etc. Someone that is a important woman in my life is my aunt. She is like a mother to me. #Aunt

    Women are very important in this world. We deserve the same rights as men and we should be able to say and do whatever we want. We should be allowed to work and vote. And if we do work we should be paid the exact same as men, or even more because some woman are better workers and yet they still get paid more.

    Women went to protest during the weekend. They went to protest for they're rights. They went out and made they're voice heard. Women have fought so hard for women's rights and they don't want it to be taken away just because Donald trump who isn't a feminist is president. Women are much more important today then they used to be. Women have very good jobs now and make good money #mymom

    Women were protesting to stand up for women’s rights. It is not right at all that Donald Trump wants to get rid of women’s rights. Women are just as important as men and without women, the population would not increase. It’s very bothersome to think that Donald Trump thinks that women aren’t important. Today, women are much more important than they used to be in the past and it’s not right to take their rights away just like that. A woman who inspires me is #mymom .

    I believe that women and men should be treated equaly! He is a very racist and sexist man and should not be the president of the united states! Not only women but men where also protesting against Trump! Thousands of people attended the protest and unfortunately I don't think that he cares simply because he has proven that he doesn't care what people think which is a good quality but not to this extend! For example he doesn't care that people have made fun of his hair and spray tan for god only knows how long because it's hilarious! Anyways I think that he isn't even close to qualified to be president! For example every president has to serve in the US army or at least have political experience and he doesn't have either!

    Women were marching in all different countries for so many reasons, as they should have. A tone of women were marching all across the globe, but I think they were all marching for pretty much the same reasons. One of the reasons I think women were marching this past weekend was to tell the world that they are not going to give up their rights that they worked so hard to get. Donald Trump wants to go back in time instead of forward in time and women were trying to show that they are never going to let go of their rights. Another reason women were marching was because they were upset that people actually voted for a man who is racist, sexist, homophobic, and more. Even the fact that there are speculations that the election was rigged and that Hillary Clinton actually won, probably also made people upset. Women are very important to our world and they always have been. Women are the people that make our world go round and they made and continue to make positive changes to this world. Even when there is a serious problem that needs to be fixed women never back down and they fight to fix the problem. Women that I admire are #mymother #mygrandmothers

    Women were protesting about trump. He wants to take womens rights away. I find this very un fair because women have worked so hard to receive these rights and now he wants to take them away and make their rights be the same as a couple of hundred years ago.Women are very strong , independent and hard working people. Women are role models and many of them have been recognized because of their actions. A women I admire is my grandma. She has been through so much and has worked so hard to become what she is today.

    Women were protesting about Trump because he got elected and, he wants to take away women's rights. This idea is unjust according to 21st century law, this would make the united states comparable to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia, this sets back all current efforts for women's rights almost 100 to 200 years back, their are great women in this world who are better then men, and especially Donald John Trump. He does not deserve any of what he has gotten. My family is upset and very hateful of Trump, my mother is such a wonderful women and I hope one day (because Canada usually follows the U.S. eventually) that she doesn't get her rights taken away. #MyMother

I think that women are treated way better that years ago but there are a few things that need to be changed for example they were not paid the same as men and still there is that problem in some places in the world but it has gotten better.     Just under fifty percent of the world's population is female. So naturally they are important and many women have jobs. If they were not around companies would not be able to continue and they would slowly become bankrupt. Women having rights is a good influence on the next generation so our society can be more just. Finally women are more capable where men are not.
