I would describe this year as a year that changed my life. What I mean by changed my life is, I started high school this year and was really nervous. For me, high school is a very big step and can impact your life in a positive way or a negative way. It impacted my life in a positive way because this year I left my old elementary school (that I didn't like that much because I had no friends there). Also, I have one of the best English teachers I have ever had, Mr Katz. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had because he is so understanding, so nice and does everything that students like about teachers (for example: doesn't give homework, does a lot of things on electronics and much more). Also this year I got cut for the first time from a ringuette team I was trying out for. That changed my life because all the times I tried out for a team I made it, but this year was different. When you get cut from a team you are really, really, really sad and think that you suck or whatnot, and that is exactly how I felt. The worst part is that they didn't do it by email, so when you come out of the room where you get the news (if you made it or not) everyone else who tried out is there and also are their parents. And no one wants people to see you cry but it's really hard to not cry! To me 2016 was the exact same except for the things I said before. It was the same as any other year because it just felt the exact same and no big things (apart from the things mentioned above). My expectations for 2017 are that I pass grade 7 and that my life will change when I (FINALLY) turn 13 years old. I really want to turn 13 because when I turn 13, I can finally get Instagram and I can also sit in the front seat of the car!
Ha ha ha!! I don't think my parents are ever going to let me have Instagram or anything cool.... But, at least I've been sitting in the front seat of the car for a few years now!! Although, some days I'd rather wear a bag over my head... Parents can be sooooo embarrassing!
I’ve got to say that this year of 2016 was a very good year starting with High School. I met so many new friends and I’m so grateful to have met every single one of them. I have awesome teachers but I’m very grateful to have Mr. Katz as one of them. I’ve never came out of Mr. Katz’s class feeling sad. And another reason why he’s my favorite is because he does what many teachers never do and that is, not giving any homework. So overall 2016 was a pretty good year but in some ways, it could have been better for example, leaving my friends and best friends from my elementary school was very hard for me. I’ve known them for such a long time and then once it was time to let go of them, I felt so sad. So now that 2016 is coming to an end, it’s time to start a whole new year.
2016 was AMAZING: I graduated from elementary, I turned 12, I entered high school, I made awesome new friends, and I got the honor roll! A lot of important events occurred this year, it was a memorable year and it won’t be forgotten. There was nothing bad about 2016 aside from maybe not doing well in a couple of tests or not liking some of my teachers. English class went really well this year since I had a fabulous teacher like Mr. Katz. It also helped that English was my favorite subject and still is. I enjoy saying “Yay! I have English next period!” And hope I will for the next years to come. My expectations for 2017 is that I get the honor roll again and have a successful year such as this one. I look forward to becoming a teenager and tuning 13!
My 2016 year has been great, I love high school so much, mostly because we finally get to do mythology in school. Although a lot of people say 2016 was a bad year( some even go as far as to say it was one of the worst years ever), I really enjoyed this year and really hope 2017 is just as enjoyable. My year in grade seven has been going especially well I made it on the honour roll for my first report card and that really made me happy. And one really great thing that happened was book 8 in my favorite book series finally came out this year and it was perfect and was easily my favorite entry in the series. All in all 2016 was a great year for me and I have high expectations for 2017.
Well 2016 was pretty good until I entered this death trap called high school. Just kidding :) . Ever since high school I finish my homework at 9. Never get any sleep. Never have time to do something fun. But the saddest thing of 2016 was that I had to leave all my best friends, literally every single one of them. The good side of 2016 is that now I will definitely enjoy any brake like the winter and summer brake i'm so excited 113 days to go!
For me 2016 went horrible to amazing! My year started off very badly because she I was in grade 6 everyone would always bully me, I never really knew why and had only one friend that turned out to be telling my bully things about me. Then my year started getting pretty good because it was summer and I had no homework! My year started to get better and better! Once I got to St.Thomas I could not believe there was a school where no one was mean to eachother on a daily basis (at least what I've seen) and had called the school a family! I really loved St.Thomas and actually like it a lot more, especially Mr.Katz's class, mostly because we get to read books with the class that for once are NOT boring!
I found 2016 to be an excellent year! My graduation ceremony from elementary school occurred on June 22, the same day as my 12th Birthday. This was an incredibly fun day, as I got my hair professionally styled, had a manicure and pedicure, and then spent the evening at a fantastic graduation dance. The only downfall was that I had to say goodbye to all of my best friends, although I still keep in touch with some. I have, however, had a chance to make some really good new friends at high school. I’m really enjoying high school, although it has been a pretty big change. I was happy to get on the St. Thomas honor roll after the first term, and will continue trying to do my best.
During this year, I also got to visit my uncle, aunt and cousin who live in Florida, and my grandparents who live in England. Two trips in the same year was awesome! I also met up with my other aunt and cousin from Ontario, who happened to be arriving in the UK a couple of days before we headed back home. We met up in London and spent a fantastic couple of days sightseeing and visiting Harrods. I hope to be able to take more trips in 2017.
Honestly, 2016 was a great year but, 2016 had its pros and cons. A bunch of bad things happened in 2016 are that I got a couple of inguries playing hockey and there's a little more but, while I was in the hospital, I got to meet PK Subban, Carey Price and Max Pacioretty! That was really fun! My expectations for 2017 are some what high because I'm turning 13! And i'm doing a bunch of cool stuff and i cant wait!
I would describe 2016 as a good year. The best part of my year was when my family and I went to Cuba during the summer. We got to go sightseeing and I even saw one of my friends from elementary while I was there. What was even better was that my friend and I were staying in the same hate! For the most of my vacation, I spent time with my family, but I also spent quite some time with my friend. Another great part of my year was starting high school. At first I was nervous but then I met so many new friends and I got more comfortable. I'm also very happy that I have one of the best teachers in the world Mr. Katz. 2016 was a good year. When I started the year of 2016 I was still in 6th grade , know i'm in grade 7. My year of 2016 went pretty good. But it only became better when I came to St-Thomas. I was very happy mostly about my history marks because last year I was so bad and I rarely got 100%. This year, I have studied way more than last year and I have improved a lot in history. My 2016 year was the best when I started getting much better in the subjects where I was weak. I don't know how, but the my teachers really know how to make me study! My 2016 was awesome, now I just have to keep getting good marks throughout 2017 and I'll be happy.
2016 was Ok. Nothing special. Just another year of my life. I wouldn't call it horrible, but I wouldn't call it AMAZING either. It just went by. My personality changed a lot over the course of 2016. I was a totally different person back in January and now well, I'm myself as I am now. One of the best parts of this year was probably having the guts and getting to start my fandom Instagram page. I can talk and interact with people who like me for my personality and for who I am and who don't think I'm insane and are just like me.
I think the best word to describe my year was cray. I graduated from a school that I went to for seven years, which includes leaving most of your friends. It was really hard to leave my elementary school but coming to a new school with great teachers like Mr. Katz made it a lot easier. Another crazy part of 2016 was entering high school. I was really nervous and scared but I made a few new friends and I really hope to make more in the new year. It was a bit hard for me to make new friends and it brought be out of my comfort zone because I am shy when meeting someone new. Entering high school also means a lot more homework which I’m still trying to get used to. Something that made me really happy and proud was getting honour roll. I was a bit surprised to get honour roll because I did have some days where I thought that I could have gotten more work done or I could’ve gotten a better mark on a test even when I was working really hard. I really hope I continue to work this hard next year and throughout the rest of high school. This year I ended and started another season of hockey. Before starting another season of hockey I went to AA tryouts which are for a more competitive and harder level of hockey. I didn’t make the team, but I think that starting high school and playing for a team that requires a lot of time would’ve been too much on my plate. Instead, I play for the A team and I love it. My teammates are so great and fun to hang out and play hockey with. This year was pretty hectic and crazy!
What I have to say about 2016 is that it was a good and bad year. It was a bad year because I had to leave my elementary school which was hard because I also had to leave my best friend Chelsea because we now go to different schools, I still see her on the weekends but it's not the same as recess and lunch. It was also hard because I was very used to that environment. But my year got much better when I met Mr.Katz he is the first teacher I've met that I've always left his class smiling!! My other teachers are good but definitely not like Mr.Katz!!
I think that 2016 was a great year. 2016 had a lot of ups and downs but in the end it turned out great. In grade 6 i had a lot of friends and had good marks. I was so excited for summer break to do so much fun things. I played with my siblings and went to Mont Tremblant. I was so excited to go to high school. The first day of high school I was nervous and exited at the same time but it ended out great. I think what made so far at St Thomas so great for me is all the great teachers ( Mr. Katz) and all my friends. So those are the ups of the year but the downs are that I get so much homework (at least Mr Katz understands) and I am always stressed to do projects. So those are the ups and downs of 2016.
2016 has been a great year! I did lots of amazing things and I am very proud of my academic work. This year was also very scary because I entered high school. I didn't know what to expect, and I wasn't sure how things were going to work. Now, I am very comfortable in my school and hope that my success continues. Like every year, I am really not sure of what is to come in 2017, but I feel very, very hopeful about it. Thank You!
Some parts of 2016 were awesome some other were not that great. Some of the good things are in 2016 I graduated elementary school. In the summer of 2016 I went on an amazing trip to Calgary, Alberta. The trip took one week because we drove out there. Another good things is that I made two new friends. That may not seem like a lot to you but for me it's hard to make friends because I’m shy.
Some bad things are getting a lot of homework every night. I would always get stressed over a presentation I would have to do. I has also very disappointed in myself for not making honor roll. I thought I worked hard but I guess I have to work harder this term. Hopefully 2017 is a better year. Good luck to all of you in the new year!
2016 was a year like no other and was special as it was the year I ended elementary and began high school. The style that I normally have every year was different I did not celebrate my birthday this year with friends and unlike most years I actually got an item during the black friday sale as opposed to not go shopping during that time. My 2016 year was very interesting and It will be a very long time for me to have such an exceptional year again, but maybe in five years I’ll have year like this.
I would describe this year as a year that changed my life. What I mean by changed my life is, I started high school this year and was really nervous. Delete2016 has been a great year! Thank You!
ReplyDeleteI was a little scary too entering high school.
DeleteGreat Blog.
ReplyDeleteSome parts of 2016 were awesome some other were not that great.
