  1. The best piece of advice I ever got was from my mom. This advice was to never hold on to anger because the only person you are hurting is, yourself. What that means is, if you are mad at someone don't still be mad at them because if while you are mad you think that you are hurting the other person but really you are just hurting yourself. The advice has helped me because my brother usually gets on my nerves really easily and makes me mad at him. When I'm mad at him I thought that I was also hurting him but ever since I got that advice I try really hard to not get mad at him. This also works with anyone, anywhere and at any time.

  2. To be honest I've never really received advice from somebody that has helped me drastically or something I will stand by for the rest of my life, I sorta just do what I think I should do. I guess in that scenario my best advice would be to never do what others tell you to do and only do what YOU want to do. I think by following this I have molded myself into a person who won't fall victim to peer pressure or feel obligated to do some strange thing I don't know about. So I guess that would be my best advice

  3. The best piece of advice I have received so far has been from my parents. They have always told me to believe in myself. I can sometimes be very hard on myself and this stresses me out. When I'm stressed, I can't focus well, and I am unable to absorb anything, which means that getting anything done just takes longer. Also, I end up not doing very well on exams and assignments when I second guess or question myself. I need to remember to be confident and that anything is possible if I put my mind to it. This advice has helped me achieve better grades and have more time for activities outside of school.

  4. The best piece of advice I have ever received was from my parents. They give me a lot of great advice but this time it really helped. What they said was "Bella you are in high school now sand you need to know it is completely different from elementary, you need to know always stay organized in high school and you always have to get your homework done as soon as you can! That means you can't leave projects to the last minute." This really helped me because I haven't missed one test or project or assignment.

The best piece of advice I've ever received was from my parents when I started high school and they told me "Ariana high school is completely different from elementary and there will be a lot of homework! Also unfortunately there are going to be people who are mean but don't listen to them and you need to let us know right away when it happens! Also unfortunately you will find people who are mean all your life but remember they have no right to be mean!

  6. The best advice I have gotten is “ Do your best at all times”. This helps me all the time when i’m feeling down or I have no confidence in myself. I just tell myself that if I don’t try and I don’t do my best then I can never know what the outcome will be. I was thought that failure comes from not trying. So this advice can help everyone in so many ways. For example, if you have a test or a big game, just doing your best will get you closer to success. Believing and being positive will help you practice, concentrate and help you be more confident in yourself. So the key to success is to do your best at all times, even in difficult times.

  7. In grade 5, I went to the parent-teacher meeting and my french teacher told me that I stressed too much about my work. She told me I needed to have more fun and not worry too much. Ever since that day, I stopped stressing over homework, but I still do sometimes. My mom told me the same thing for the past 2 years.

  8. The best advice I've been giving was from my older cousin. My older cousin has suffered from depression due to the fact that he got bullied.He has taught me to always stay positive in tough times , when people are trying to bring u down u got to stay positive and don't let them bring u down. If they see that your unhappy they have achieved their goal and that's not what u want. You must surround yourself with positive people and always have a smile on your face.

  9. I think the best piece of advice I've gotten was to be myself and not care what other people think. It's really good advice since many people try to be someone else because they are afraid of what the world thinks. Just be yourself and other people will learn to like you for you.

      I think that some people try to act as mature, popular or pretty but if you are for an example a silly person then just be silly and you will find someone who is silly too. Also people try to change their look as well as their personality but being your own self is the most beautiful thing you could be.

  10. The best advice i've received is to never leave anything to the last minute. Even though sometimes I do and it's terrible. Sometimes whenever there's 2 days till a test I will tell myself it's ok, it's so easy, but honestly that's the worst thing to ever say. Then the next night I literally freak out and I get mad because I'm not understanding it as fast as I want to. But sometimes I get really really lucky, once I didn't study at all for a test and I didn't know there was going to be one but luckily the teacher was late to class and I got to study for 5 minutes and I ended up getting a really good mark.

  11. My parents/ sibling has been giving a lot of advice about high school. My sister is the main reason that i do my homework because if i get bad grades, she turns into my mother. Shes taught me to take notes and different ways to study and get organised. She also tells me to never do drugs, this was very important to me because i can easily get influenced by others, luckily shes taught me the right way and tells me how to decline an offer.

  12. The best piece of advice that I’ve ever received was given to me by my parents. In the third grade, for no reason at all, all of my thoughts were becoming negative. Everything I did: playing basketball, doing a school project, playing a boardgame or even just playing a video game were done with stress and negative thinking. Such as; I’ll never win! I’m not good enough! What’s the point of playing this game, anyway? I was always thinking the wrong way, and that way was negative. I didn’t know why I kept thinking negatively and I didn’t know what to do to stop it. One day, my parents gave me this piece of advice: they told me “There’s only one way to think, and that way is positive. Any other way is wrong, because even when things don’t go as you plan, there’s always a lesson to learn and there’s always fun to have along the way. Negative thoughts can only bring you down where positive thoughts keep you moving forward. ” I think of having fun when I’m playing a game not that I may lose. I learn lots of interesting things with school projects and I have fun with my friends playing games. I say that quote to myself everytime I'm in distress. It helps me to stay positive. Ever since then, I have a more positive way of thinking about stuff. Sure there are still some times where I start acting negatively but I keep improving everyday.

  13. A very good piece of advice that I’ve been told was by my parents. They told me to never give up in anything I do. I always want everything I do to be extremely perfect, no matter what it is. But unfortunately that doesn’t really exist. I find that in a lot of things I do, I give up too quickly which is terrible but the only reason why I give up is because it wasn’t perfect.
    A good example of this is when I’m playing basketball. When I don’t make the shot that I was expecting, I get discouraged in myself. But now, I guess I’ve realized that it’s absolutely fine to make mistakes, I just have give it my best the next time and never give up.

  14. The best piece of advice that I've ever gotten was by my parents. They told me to try my best in everything I do. I'm always hard on myself when I don't get a good mark on a test or on a project. Even with sports when I don't do well I get upset and I give up right away. My parent know me very well and they know when something is wrong. After I tell them whats wrong they always tell me that it doesn't matter as long as you tried your best. I tell them that I did but I know that I've could have done better. When something is wrong my parents always try to help me. This is the best advice that I've ever gotten and I'm glad that I got this advice from my parents.

  16. The best pieces of advices that was given to me was “not to be to hard on myself”. Sometimes when I try to do something, I try do it so perfectly and then I get so stressed that I just give up. I remember this one time I got a really bad mark on 2 tests. When I told my parents they were mad. They said that they can't punish me because I'm already punishing myself. But now I try to be less hard on myself and accept that if I make a mistake it's alright.

  17. I best piece of advice I've ever gotten was from my mom. She told me that respect has to be earned and once u lose respect u have to work for it. This influenced me to understand how respect is used and that I have to respect everyone even if I don't like them. I have lost respect with people but as long as u put in the effort on ur side they will too(idk if that makes sense) (I think it's more then 25 words this time:))))

  18. The best piece of advice that I've every received was from my aunt. She told me a quote my Maya Angelou saying; "people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This advice has helped me in a way to make myself a nicer, better person everyday. It also taught me to be considerate with people, and treat them the way I want to be treated.

  19. I think that the best advice that I have ever gotten is "put effort in everything that you do". this advice has helped me in many things like school and sports. I think that this advice helped me so much because now I work harder. I think that this is a good advice that you can give to anyone. I think it is a good advice to any body that you Know that is not putting their 100% in whatever that they do. I'm sure that many of you have heard or know this advice and you have applied it to your lives too.

  20. The best advice I've received is from my old principal,Miss Larente. She told me to never change who you are,for nobody in any circumstance. Since then I've used this to deflect mean comments I've received. She taught me with this quote to always be yourself, so for example if somebody calls me an idiot, I say "I agree" because I always act like a fool so it doesn't hurt me.

  22. The best piece of advice I ever got was to make friends. It took me a while but eventually I made friends cause I'm a really annoying human so it's hard for me to make friends. When I did thought, I became much happier and a much better person.

  23. The best advice that I ever received is to always work hard. I got this advice from my parents. They told me this because sometimes when you get in high school you get a lot of work and you decide to just give up. I strongly believe that working hard in whatever you do will get you far in life. I think that this piece of advice helps me because it reminds every time I want to give up that I can’t, or else I would loose my good work ethic. On the other hand, I need to keep this idea in my head for the rest of my life even when I get distracted, I procrastinate, or I want to be lazy. I know that if I focus I can work hard and stop getting distracted. This piece of advice also helps me because it pushes me to my limits. If my goal is to work my hardest then my work will be the best it can be. I usually take pushing myself to my limits seriously. When I do my work I make sure I did the most possible and that I'm not behind in class work or homework. Working hard is a key part of life, but it's never too late to start.

  24. One of the best advises/idea that I've received is to save half of my money that I get from holidays or birthdays etc. I got this marvelous idea from an episode in the Big Bang Theory. This advice helps me now because on occasion I can spend money at the cafeteria and it is a good life habit. Another way this is very beneficial is that i can give a little cash to my family as a present and this is also a very good life habit.
