This term one was hard because I was adjusting to the high school life style. I did not set any goals in term one this year because I was so busy adjusting I didn't have time to set any goals. I did well with doing well on my math tests because I would listen very well in the class and do all my homework. I still need to work on getting organized with my homework and studying for upcoming tests that I know about because if I don't study then I will most probably fail all of my quizzes, tests and exams. My two goals in term two are to get better grades and try and make "Honour Roll" because it feels better to have better marks.
Term 1 was a good start to the beginning of High School. But of course there are things to improve on: better marks on tests and projects, organizing homework, managing time, etc. I think that when it comes to tests I should study at least 15 minutes a day. I should also manage my time more by doing my homework whenever I have time to and use my free time after I’ve finished. I think my goal was just to have a good beginning of High School and do well in term 1. There are some subjects that I have mastered and some that I have to try a lot harder in but I think that I have been doing well so far.
Term 1 was kind of easy, because it wasn't very hard to adjust to "high school". Except for all the homework, waking up in the morning and all the tests we get. It was definitely harder for me to adjust into high school because I didn't really have to wake up so early in the morning since my elementary only started at 9, we didn't get a lot of homework, I remember I would go to daycare and it would literally take me 30 minutes to do my homework, now I do homework from 4 to 8.I only came to St-Thomas with 3 friends. 2 of them I never see and the other one is in some of my classes, but I never really see them or talk to them, so I kind of had to make my own friends. But so far high school is pretty good and it's going by really fast.
My elementary school almost has the same time frame as St- Thomas all but the periods but I started at 8:10 a.m to 2:25 so I wasn't bothered with waking up early.
I think term 1 went fairly well, I don't have many complaints. I did set some goals with myself for one goal I wanted to have 85 percent and up on every test, I did achieve that goal many times but some tests I got lower. I think I did well with most subjects. I think I will have to work on my reading comprehension in french class. My goals for term 2 would be the same: to have 85 percent and up on all tests.
For me, term 1 was a little hard. Not really in the sense of the work but the adjustment to High School. At first, my marks were kind of suffering because I kept getting so stressed about High School and I was lacking a lot of confidence in myself. But now when I think back, I was stressing for nothing. In term 1, I find I was doing very well in Geography. I was getting good marks and it was an easy subject for me. A few things that I still need to work on are time management and good study habits. For term 2, I have set myself some goals in order to succeed and do well: Good study habits, organization and to use my time wisely. Something that I tell myself a lot is, no one was born knowing everything, that’s why we go to school. So, something that everyone should tell themselves is, don’t get discouraged. Just pick yourself back up and try again.
Term 1 was very stressful for me for two reasons one was that adjusting to high school was difficult because I wasn't and I'm still not 100% used to running across the school everyday needing to go to six classes a day. The other thing that was definitely the hardest was the work load and I'm still veryyyyy shocked about the fact that i do three hours of homework a night on average and I have no day off from homework! It's very difficult to manage my time and I'm doing the best I can and obviously it seems to be working because I've been getting really good marks!
Term one has been great, ive made new friends and ive set many goals.at first i was strugling because i forgoot a lot of things over the summer, i even forgot how to add. but afetr i started getting into the high school spirit, i was ok. my goals were to at leatst get 2 100% on a history quiz and i achieved that, my goal for term 2 are to be more orginazed and get more done faster
For me, term one was an adjustment stage, I had to develop my knowledge of the school so it took a bit, my goal was to not fail and sink into 50's as marks so , I'd assume it worked but I have to wait for report cards(god help me).Term 2 I want to begin to get almost all 70 and up.
I loved term 1 !! Term 1 was kind of an adjustment stage for me. But after a few days I knew pretty much where I was going. At first I thought that I was going to get lost but I've recognized that it's very easy to get around. For term 1 I did set some goals like to keep myself organized and to not forget anything in my locker. I achieved keeping myself organized pretty well and only once or twice I had to go to my locker to get something. I also think that in term 1 the homework and classwork wasn't that hard. For me I think it was just a review from grade 6 and i liked that because over the summer I forgot a lot that I learnt in school.
My term 2 goals are to not forget to study for a test because during term 1, I forgot to study for 1 test and I felt so nervous because I didn't know anything (btw this was in history). Also another one of my goals for term 2 is to not forget my stuff in my locker. Even though I only did it once or twice during term 1, I really don't like forgetting my things because then I miss a part that my teacher is teaching in class. I'm very confident in myself that I will do great in term 2. Sierra Toto
I think that for my first year of high school in grade 7, my first term went great! I think that I could have studied a little harder for some of my tests, but it can be really difficult to keep up with homework sometimes. I didn't set any goals for myself except to get good grades, which is paying off in Spanish class. I hope that I can do just as well in term 2.
I think that my first term in high school went great. I didn't get any strikes so I was really happy. I did good on my tests and I had a lot of fun and made a whole bunch of new friends. The goals that I not only set for term 2, but for all the years to come is to get 95% and over on each test. I know that it most probably won't always happen, but I am still aiming for it. I didn't really have a problem with any subjects or classes and I am very organised, but I find it a little difficult to keep up with the homework. I need to work on studying for my tests better though.
I think that term 1 so far has been pretty good. There have been some ups and downs but over all everything went well. I think something challenging was to be organized but that has always been a difficulty for me. I think I did pretty good at getting most of my work done. For term 2 I'm definitly gonna work on being more organized and responsible :))))
MY TERM 1 WAS AMAZING! I loved reading a midsummer nights dream, although reading Shakespeare was a little weird at times but I learned how to read it decently through reading Nordic myths(take that how you will).I really enjoyed acting out a lot of the parts in the book but I guess I could work on orals since I don't really like being in front of an audience that much, I didn't really set goals for term 1 apart from just pass your classes so I think I did well. If I want anything for term 2 it would be more mythology, we started a bit but I still don't feel very satisfied with it we've only touched on big figures of mythology but not the more obscure ones like Nyx goddess of night or her daughter Nemesis goddess of revenge. I loved term 1 and have high hopes for term 2.
Term 1 for me; in a few words: interesting and stressful. This is my first year of high school and there are so many differences from elementary school to get used to. All of a sudden, I’m a teenager and I’m taking the schoolbus to school instead of being driven to school by mom and dad! I’ve been stressing about everything since day one! A new school to get used to. New teachers to get used to. New classmates to get used to. Getting to my classes on time without getting lost is a big adventure, because comparing to my old school, St-Thomas is huge! I’ve done well so far and I hope to do even better once I’m used to the rhythm of high school. I think I did well on most of my tests so I’m pretty sure my marks are okay. I don’t think that term two will be as stressful because now I know what to expect on tests and homework. So far, I’m liking high school and I like my teachers.
Term 1 wasn't easy at the beginning but it got better towards the end. For term one my main goal was to try my best because it was only the first term and my first couple of months of high school. I think something I did well was adjusting to the high school life. I understood very well how high school worked very quickly. One thing I have to in approve on is get.ting organized. High school is much more different than elementary school , we have more classes now and a lot more homework and tests. I think term 1 went amazing. I thought that it was going to be difficult getting used to the school. But I'm still not use to the homework. I can't believe how much homework they give us. A goal that I set for term 1 was to be able to get to relax and watch some tv after dinner having done all my homework beforehand. I was not able to accomplish this goal because of all the homework. For term 2, I will once again try to set and accomplish this goal and I will also try to get even better grades than in term 1.
This term 1 as I mentioned before, I was good at getting homework done for the due date and working hard in and out of school. I still need to work on getting my homework done faster so that I can go to bed at a reasonable time. And I need to find a block of time to study better for tests.

Because I have an older brother at St. Thomas who is an honor roll student, I had set myself a goal to achieve a place on the honor roll as well. I don't know yet if I have succeeded, but I know I have worked really hard and have tried my best.
For term 2, I know that I need to better balance my schedule and make sure that I don't take away time from sleeping as I did in term 1. I also need to learn to better control my stress levels and build more self-confidence. I'm going to try to do this by stopping myself from over-studying, spending too much time on being a perfectionist, and concentrating on attending my outside activities on a more regular basis. I hope term 2 goes better than term 1!

Term 1 was great! It was stressful but it’s our first term of high school. I set myself the goal to make friends. A problem I have is a scare people away with my over the top loving of things so sometimes it’s hard for me to make friends. I surprisingly made friends. They are super nice and I’m happy to be their friend. They accept me for who I am unlike other people I have met *cough cough the boys on my bus who bullied me last year cough cough* and we all have common interests and personalities. I think I did well with my projects. I put my heart and soul into my projects. I could improve on time management. I don’t know why but I have the habit of procrastinating everything and leaving it to the last minute. I really need to stop telling myself “One chapter that’s it”, “Just one episode or “Just one video that’s it” cause I end up watching or reading the entire book , finishing the show or watching 7 years of YouTube video’s and then it’s like 2 am and I’m like “ OMG I DIDN’T DO MY MATH HOMEWORK!”. My goals for term 2 are to study more and procrastinate less cause I really need to fix that or I’m going nowhere in life.
I think term 1 was amazing. Meeting new people and crazy tests also alot of homework. I think I should start maybe working harder and studying harder do I could be prepared for anything. My two goals are to pass the term and to also maybe get to know my friends better

Term one good have gone better academically but, it went better in terms of socialising. Yes I have been keeping up with the politics. And I truly think that neither candidates are good for the job. I wanted Hilary to win because she has been in the system for a very long time and I think that she understands the country more then Donald trump. But unfrotunalty Donald trump was elected president yesterday. And this will effect Canada in the Economy and the trade:(

I guess that my goals for term 2 is trying more in science and history. They are both the subjects that I get confused in so if I do try more all my goals would be completed. That is my first term in high school! After all I found that my first term went very well! Hopefully term 2 goes even better than term 1!!!
