Blog 8 - Wednesday, October 12, 2016

There will only be ONE (1) blog this week!

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, we need to remember to be thankful for what we have and thankful for who we are surrounded by.

For this blog, take a selfie with someone you feel deserves a BIG THANK YOU!
E-mail the picture to gkatz@lbpearson.ca

Don't forget to write your explanation on this blog site!

Have fun.

  1. I think that everyone needs a big thank you but the person that I feel needs the biggest thank you is my dad. I think my dad needs the biggest thank you because whenever I feel stressed or down like I can not do anything, he is always there to help me. Also whenever I need to talk to someone I always know I can talk to him and he won't get mad at me!

  2. I am very much grateful for my mom. I am grateful of her because of so many reasons: she loves me to the ends of the earth, she’s funny, she’s the kindest living being ever, she’s the prettiest mom known in history and she’s super smart. She is a great mom and I should give my thanks to her every day because she makes my bed when i forget to even though it should be me doing it, she feeds me well at every meal and she doesn’t yell at me when I haven’t done well in a test but most importantly because i know she would do anything for me no matter what. Who could be a better person to give thanks to than my mom?

  3. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I spent the weekend with my family. Normally, we have a pretty traditional Thanksgiving, which includes a roast turkey with all the trimmings. We had no family or friends come over this year, nor did we go to anybody else’s house, so we had a pretty quiet weekend and decided not to go with a turkey dinner. We did have one good hiking day up north (Mont Tremblant), and enjoyed the change of color in the leaves. Unfortunately, I had so many school projects, there wasn’t much time for anything else.

I am very thankful for everything I have in my life. I am especially thankful for the fact that I have a loving family, two wonderful cats, and I have everything I need. During Thanksgiving, I take time to appreciate what I have, and reflect on those less fortunate. We should all probably take the time to consider how fortunate we are more often.

  4. I feel like the person in my life who deserves the biggest thank you is my dad. He’s always there for me and he’s always ready to put a big smile on my face whenever I’m feeling sad. He surprises me with everything. For my birthday, he got us both hockey tickets for the pre-season hockey game. My dad goes on a lot of business trips and when he comes back home, I spend a lot of time with him. There was never one time that I never said “I love you” to him. Between my brother and I, I was always the sporty one. I still remember even as a little girl, playing on the street with him whether it was soccer, basketball, baseball.etc. Even writing this I’m getting a little emotional because I am so grateful to have a dad like mine. I’m very thankful to have the best dad ever. My dad will always be my hero and I will always be his princess.

  5. For me, it’s my big sister Jordan. My sister means the world to me. She’s the most beautiful, most lovable, most talented and most outstanding young lady I’ve ever met. There’s nothing in this world that matches her kindness, her laugh, her enthusiasm... I wouldn’t give her up for all the fame and all the money in the world. Everyone she meets, loves her. She always has something nice to say about other people. She always makes her friends feel better when they’re sad. She always makes me laugh. We play together all the time. She always forgives me even when I’m not nice to her. I love her more than anyone else in this world. Without her, I think I would be a completely different person. She makes me a better person. My sister Jordan means everything to me!

  7. I am very greatful for my grandfather. I'm very greatful for him because I know he loves no matter what. Every time that I feel down or that I'm sick I normally facetime him (I know he know how to use facetime). After facetiming him I feel much better. Me and my grandfather are inseperable. Whenerver were together we have the best time. Now I don't see him as much anymore because he is not well. Anyway for now he is in Montreal and I go visit him every day after school. It makes me feel better to know that he is okay. I'm also very grateful for him because he is not the average grandfather. He knows how to use an Ipad, he is not lazy and he is really fun to hangout with. The best part of my day is when I get to go and see him because now that I'm older and he only comes to visit for a little while I don'6t see him as much as I used to when I was younger

    1. Zachary,
I have definitely been there, where you don't have the page and your relying on the other person. I would be very grateful too, for that person helping me.
      Great blog!

  9. For my photo I chose my mom. I am very grateful for my mom because she helps our family a lot. I think my mom deserves a big thank you. She deserves a thank you for making our thanksgiving feel like it was when I was little, she made it an amazing thanksgiving. I think she most of all deserves a BIG thank you because she made a wonderful dinner that we all got to enjoy. I think she deserves a thank you because she went to the trouble to make our thanksgiving a great one.

  12. There are so many people that deserve a BIG thank you from me like my grandfather, aunt, mom, grandma and brother, but today, I will do a blog on my dad. My dad is so awesome! He takes us out and he is so fun. He never gets angry if I get a bad mark, but he does push me to get better. He is always makes my brother and I laugh and he understands us. He always plays loud music in the car, which no one else does. He brings happiness into our lives just like the rest of my family. That's why my dad deserves a HUGE thank you!

  13. I am thankful for my whole family, so I'll share why for all of them. I'm thankful for my mother because she does everything she can to help me and my sister in any way she can, she always goes out to buy new clothes and food for us, she is just an awesome person. Next my father, He's the one who goes out to work everyday of the week to make money for us, he always helps me when I have problems with my phone or computer (which happens a lot), I'm so thankful that he helps me. finally my sister, even though sometimes we don't get along the best we do have those moments where we get along (most of which are when we're eating food for some reason), I couldn't be more thankful for my family in general! (My parents didn't want to be in the picture so it's one of me and my sister)

  15. I am grateful for my whole family, but for my blog I am going write about my twin brother Kohl. My brother Kohl is always there for me. Wherever I go he is usually there. I always have company when I want it. Whenever I need help, he is always very helpful. Kohl always cheers me up if I am upset. He always makes me smile and laugh. We have fun together all the time. Kohl and I like doing the same kinds of activities. I am very grateful for my brother.

  16. I'm really thankful for my brother. He like my best friend. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have him. Although we fight but not for long we end a fight by laughing. My brother and I think that we are twins because sometimes we speak at the same time and we think the same thing plus we look alike. He always finds a way to cheer me up when I'm upset. He acts like he's my older brother but he's younger.

  17. I am very thankful for many people in my life. My dad, my sisters, my friends, but the person I chose for this blog is my amazing mother. My mom is an amazing mom, she does so much for her children and others and never stops being selfless. She never takes a moment for herself which isn’t always the best thing to do, she should take time for herself. My mom is always helping me with my homework even when I’m a nervous wreck. She really makes me feel good when I’m down and gives me great advice. My mom is always there to help with whatever whether it’s my homework, to clean my room, to pick out an outfit, and she even will go out to get me something I need. My mom is a great mom and person in general and I can’t imagine my life without her.

  19. I have a whole pile of people I need that thank but today I want to thank my Best Friend In the entire world Savannah. She is the ONLY person I trust with absolutely EVERYTHING! She has helped me through my worst times, helps me with anything I need help with anything I need help with, cares about me, and so much more. I love her to death and I don't know what I would do without her. She is the best friend I could ever ask for. We may fight a lot over stupid things like which fictional character is the best or what show to watch but we are BFF's what do you expect? We may be opposites and yet me are the same. I want to thank her for helping me get through some hard times and always being by my side. We may not go to the same school anymore but we still chat everyday and make sure not to lose contact. I tell her everything and she tells me everything. Thank you for the 2 am emotional support, things you introduced me to, love and support. I miss her so much. I love you Savy and you know how much I miss you. I owe you so much for being such a good friend. BTW Sav I know you won’t read this unless i send it to you I have things to say,
1.Terrified of what I'd be As a kid from what I've seen Every single day when people try And put the pieces back together Just to smash them down Turn my headphones up real loud,
    2. When I was a young boy, My father took me into the city To see a marching band.
    3. Baby we built this house On memories Take my picture now Shake it till you see it And when your fantasies Become your legacy Promise me a place In your house of memories
If I do sent this to you I already know your reaction cause I can read your mind.

  21. I want to say thank you to my mom. She does literally everything for me, she makes food, buys me things, cleans my room. Me and my mom fight sometimes and she gets really mad at me. Like one time I forgot homework at school which was due the next and she got so mad. Even though she screams at me and I get mad at her sometimes we still love each other very much.

  22. I'm going to be thanking my mother because first of all she birthed me. Second of all she was always there for me threw out my hole life. And as a single mother raising 4 kids for almost 5 years is challenging at some times. She also encourages a me do to whatever activity I want she is very supportive as a mother. Even though I'm always busy and we don't spend a lot of time together there is always a special place for u in my heart.
I'm so thankful for my mom.
    Love you Mom.

  23. I am greatful for everyone close to me, but I am most greatful for my grandmother, Dale, but I call her Nama. She is an amazing person, she always thinks of others before her self, she always knows what to do and she cooks a mean baked potato. I live right next door to her, which comes in handy a lot because she's always willing to help. Every morning, she wakes up bright and early just to go down the steps of her house and waves to me at the bus stop, and when the bus is late she drives me to school. She is also an amazing painter, and she made a beautiful painting to match my bed spread at my dads house. Thanks grandma for always being there for us, I love you!

  24. I am thankful for many different people in my life. Like my family, friends, and teachers. But for the blog I wanted to do it on my friends since I have many friends it was hard to choose one. I am most thankful for my best friend we've known each other for 4 years and I wouldn't be the same without her. No matter how far away we are, when we talk it's like I'm still there although it's not the same. So much has happened trough out those years and I'm so thankful that I got to spend tem with her. I'm thankful for the memories (going to parties, going to the mountains, going to the beach, getting in trouble together:))), and even just going to the pool and listening to music. I miss it so much but I'm thankful I was able to have those years of my life there in Haiti.:)))))))
