  1. I don’t really have a “best” Halloween memory. In fact, I don’t really like Halloween. I’m not into scary things at all. Scary things simply scare me and I don’t like to be scared. I don’t see the fun into being afraid. Every time I go out trick-or-treating, there’s always something that scares me badly. It started when I was really young, a group of teenagers that had scary masks on were following me and my family while trick-or-treating. I was so scared! I started crying really hard and asked to go home. My sister and her friends wanted more candy and they were having a blast so my mom called my dad had to come pick me up! I was happy to go home. The only part of Halloween I like is the free candy! My only best Halloween memory is when I stayed home and watched some movies with my sister just like tonight. We’re watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

    1. Free Candy is always good! I'm not that into scary stuff either but my fear of things has gotten better. The worst is when people jump out and grab you without you expecting it. And spiders, spiders are terrifying. The only reason I go out is for the free candy. If there was no candy or it came to me forget it.
      Nice blog :)

  2. My best memory from this year was going through the haunted house my city puts on every year at the park near my house with my friends. I was going to go trick or treating with my BFF Savannah but my mum said no the day before Halloween so I had to go with my brother and my dad. While we were out I ran into some of my friends from elementary who now go to Royal West Academy with one of their friends from Royal West. So I said Hi we talked for about 5 seconds then they were going down where I had already been so I couldn't stay with them so we split. Later on my brother was tired and he wanted to go home but I wanted to go to at least 1 of my friends houses and so I asked and my brother agreed we could go to my friend Theo's House. Her mum answered we had a small chat and then it was time to leave. I went down the driveway and found my friends from before coming up the street. This time they were heading were I hadn't been so my dad said I could stay with them and call when I'm on my way home. My little brother decides he wanted to stay and trick or treat some more so my family ended up staying and coming with us. Later on I was still with my friends and they wanted to go into the haunted house and tried to make me go even thought they had already been in. Since they knew where people jumped out already I agreed and went in and found one of my friends as the first person who popped out at us.Knowing where people came out at you and actually knowing the people jumping out made it a lot less scary. After we socialized upstairs found some other friends and chatted for about 10 minutes until we left. After that I split from my friends and went home but I thought my brother and dad had gone home but they had been waiting for me. I apologized feeling bad but my dad said it was fine and we went home. The end

  3. I think my favorite Halloween memory was October 31st 2016, because I got double the candy then what I usually get on Halloween. My bag weighed a million tons!!! I got to have a sleepover with my friend and we ate a bunch of candy while watching Netflix. I think this year’s Halloween was my favorite. We went trick or treating with a big group of friends and we had a blast! I hope next year will be as fun or even better.

  4. My favorite halloween was during the year 2012 in grade 3 whilst every child went trick or treating I stayed home enjoying myself as I played one video game all night which now I have just under 2500 hours on that game. That halloween was my favorite because I didn't have to wear a whacky costume or walk in the cold. And the best part is that there was leftover candy from the boxes which has almost every year but this one.

  5. My favorite Halloween memory would have to be this Halloween of 2016. This year I went trick or treating with my best friend Amber. We both dressed up as black cats and went trick or treating around my neighborhood and it was so much fun. By the time we were done, our bags were overflowing. After trick or treating, she came to my house and we watched a Halloween movie on Netflix while eating candy. This year was a really fun Halloween and the best part is that I got to spend it with my best friend. Since today is November 1st, it’s basically the day I get to eat almost all of my candy…I regret this part every year.

  6. my best halloween memory was in 2011 when I got to go trick or treating with my cousins. This was the best memory because my cousins live in New Jersey and it was the first time that I've seen them in a long time. When we went out trick or treating, we went to the best haunted house ever. We got to go in their garage and then they closed it while we were still inside. It was pretty scary!! After that we kept trick or treating for a few more hours and then we went back to my house. We emptied our bag on the floor and started separating our candy into different piles. A while after emptying our bags and separating our candy, we traded things that we didn't like. At the end we all had almost the same amount of candy and we were all happy. Then my cousins slept over and the next day they left to go back to New Jersey. I was really happy that I got to see them and that we had a lot of fun.

  7. I don't really have a favorite Halloween moment. I love Halloween because of all the free candy and how we get to dress up as anything we'd like, but as I get older I just get less and less excited for it. This year was really cool though because all of my best friends were with me when I went trick or treating, and we all wore really cool costumes. Another thing I enjoyed this year was the haunted house at St-Thomas. Some of the people inside really made me jump, especially the clowns. When I was little I hated getting scared, but as the years go by I really appreciate the adrenaline that goes through me, it gives me a good laugh!

  8. My best Halloween memories have been over the last three years, in fact, since we moved into our new house back in 2014. Every year, my brother and I go trick-or-treating with our next door neighbor and his friend. We always have lots of fun, laugh a lot and then head back to the neighbor's house for a party. The adults have their party downstairs, while us kids talk, fool around and generally have a great time upstairs! There's always lots of good food. This year there was chili, tacos and lots of good snacks. We also got to stay up really late (as usual), so it was really good that we had a pedagogical day on Nov. 1 to catch up on some sleep... I'm already looking forward to next year's Halloween! It's one of my favorite celebrations!

  9. I have a lot of good memories of Halloween. I have some of this year and years in the past, but I chose this memory because I could elaborate more on it and it is one of my favourite Halloween memories. It was Halloween 2015 and I was with my friends Claudia and Eden. Before going trick-or-treating we went to Harvey's because it was a tradition for my friend Claudia. When we walked into Harvey's there was a guy in a werewolf costume that anyone could think is just a decoration and not an actual person in a costume. As we were about to step into the restaurant the man/werewolf jumped up and scared us. And then it was war. We went in and got our meal and ate, but while we were eating at our table we could see through the windows all around the restaurant that the werewolf was walking around outside trying to scare us. After we ate, me, Claudia and Eden went to the front door of Harvey's to get the attention of the werewolf and get a reaction. Every time we would tap him on the shoulder he would start to get up and chase us around the restaurant. At one point he was chasing us and I hid behind a booth. When he passed by I gave him a high five and that's when I knew that if he came up to you he's not that scary. We kept getting chased around because, well it's kind of the guy's job. One of our favourite hiding spots was the bathroom. It was right by the front door which was where he was stationed, so it was easy to run hiding. That was just one of my many amazing Halloween memories, but I thought this one would be perfect for a blog.

  10. Last year was my best memory of Halloween. My aunt from Malaysia came on that day and my grandmother from India was also over. Everyone was together on that Halloween and my other aunt was also there with her dog, Moomoo. I went trick-or-treating with my friends and my brother. We got so much candy and we ate so much. My other grandmother prepared a special dinner just for Halloween. And that year, there were way more houses celebrating Halloween last year than this year.

  11. My best Halloween year was a couple years ago when i went to my dads house and there was a lot of people that where giving candy and a lot of haunted houses and crazy scary costumes. But my favorite part was when i went to go eat super at my dads house it was so good that i could eat any candy after that because i ate so much of my dinner.

  12. My best Halloween memory was this year. My best Halloween memory was this year because all of my friends came with me and we got a lot of candy. After we got all of the candy we could and we felt tired we went to my house and ate most of our candy. We also watched "Alvin And The Chipmunks Meet The Wolfman." It might not sound scary but seeing Theodore turn into a werewolf is actually pretty scary! But eventually everyone has to leave and that moment came around 10:00 at night. But one person stayed until about 11:00 p.m. because her parents are really close to my parents and my parents invited her parents in and just ended up talking for an hour.

  13. I think that my best Halloween memory was about 2 years ago. I went with my 2 best friends. It was fun, that year we got a lot of candy. I think for me it was fun because I love just hanging out with them and I know that even if I didn't get a lot of candy that I would have fun anyway. I also enjoyed this Halloween, I went with my best friend. I got really scared when I saw someone hiding behind a house . But she didn't see anyone and said that I was hallucinating. This year we didn't get a lot of candy but it was fun anyway. After trick or treating we went to her house and started watching a movie.

  14. A time when I got dressed yup and ate lots of candy would be on Halloween. My best Halloween memory was when I was 5 years old. I had dressed up as Barney, and went out trick or treating with all my 5 year old friends. The best part was when I came back home when we were finished and watched Barbie movies on a DVD for the whole night. I had eaten so much candy and gotten so much more candy, then I do now I just remember it being the best Halloween ever! The next day I was sick though which was better because I got to stay home from school!

  15. In elementary every Halloween we would have a haunted house with a different theme every year, like a hotel, hospital..etc... I remember ctv news came to our school when I was in grade 2 I think. Every year I go trick or treating with my friends or my cousins but mostly my cousins. It's kind of weird to go trick or treating with them because all my cousins are in their 20's the only cousin I have that's close to my age is 14. Whenever I go trick or treating with my cousins we stay over until 10, it's always so much fun at there house. I actually love Halloween so much because I love dressing up. This year for Halloween I was a skeleton and I did my own makeup, it was really fun to do it.

  16. My best Halloween memory was when I was really little and my friend Chloe and I would empty all our candy all over the floor and we would trade the candy we didn't want with each other and her little brother! We did this for about seven years but because we didn't go to the same elementary school we slowly stopped keeping touch so now we do Halloween separately. But I'll never forget doing that it was so fun and the best part was that we would not only get a ton of candy but we would also get the candy we wanted!!!

  17. Halloween is always fun because we dress up and eat candy! But the best thing about halloween is who you spend it with. My best halloween memory was in 2013. I went trick or treating with my dad, brother and sister. It was the best because we had a family tradition that my mom would give the candy to the trick or treaters and my dad, my siblings and I would go trick or treating. Even if we didn’t do something big like go to a haunted house it was always so much fun. I remember how cute my little sister and brother said “trick or treat” to the people that gave the candy. After we would be done trick or treating we would always look at all the candy that we got and trade. Now that I’m older, I go trick or treating with my friends, but still miss the memories that we had in 2013. Now I know why my parents always told me to trick or treat as much as I can because when you get older you won't have an opportunity anymore.. Halloween has made me have all of these wonderful memories with my family and I’m so happy. I love HALLOWEEN and it’s best to celebrate it with the ones that you have known for a very long.

  18. I love Halloween. I think my best Halloween memory was the year that I went with my cousins. We went door to door in weir costumes. I remember that there was a person handing out marshmallows and we started throwing them at each either and that there was a creepy old person that gave me and my brother a weird stare and we thought that it was scary! Anyway I had a lot of fun trick or treating that year and this one.

  19. I personally haven't always been a fan of Halloween so this year I decided to hand out candy instead of going trick-or-treating. It was really fun I got to watch the Nightmare Before Christmas on Netflix and it was so much fun watching the little kids costumes there was one girl as Elsa and one kid as Darth Vader
I think I'm gonna do this again next year, but one thing I loved was when teenagers came to the door, because we had a little bit of candy left over after making the little bags so, instead of giving teens the bags I gave them one small chocolate bar.
