It may not really look like it but I’m a huge hockey fan, I’m especially a fan of the Montreal Canadiens. The nights that the Canadiens are playing, I always watch the game with my dad although whenever the Canadiens score, I tend to get a little too excited. So far, they’re doing very well, I just hope it’ll stay that way for the rest of the season. The Canadiens weren’t doing so good last year but let’s hope for the best this year. Last year, there was not one Canadian hockey team that made it through the playoffs but if there is this year, I truly hope it’ll be us. GO HABS GO!!!

I Personally am Not a Hockey fan and have no idea about anything in the sport. All I know is that its a pile of people on ice who fight and argue and get mad and hurt each other. I had No idea that there was such a thing as "Home Openers" until I read this. I am totally clueless when it comes to hockey. Just taking a guess here but that is a good start to the season i think? I have no clue how they are going to do or any sort of idea since i am not a fan of the sport. All i know is my dad has a light when the Canadians score it goes off and makes lots of noise and wakes me up. I know that from what i heard there were not many random Budlight Red Light noises or lights last year so I am going to assume they didn't score a lot or i slept through it. I think there will be a Canadian team is the playoffs? Cause someone has to get in i guess.

So, technically I only love watching the end of the games unless there is an amazing opening like at the Home-Opener. I feel like the Canadians will make it to the Playoffs in the Wild Card spot but will not win the Stanley Cup. I think that the Canadians will be the only Canadian team to make it to the Playoffs.
I am not a big fan of watching sports. I'd much rather watch a TV show or go on YouTube. But when it comes to watching the Habs play I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. I love the Habs because well, i'm from Montreal. But that's not the only reason, I also love watching them because I get to spend time with my dad on the couch eating chips. I love hearing my dad shouting every time they score even when he ends up scaring me. Even though I'm not a big sports fan i'd rather be spending time with my family watching something i don't enjoy than watching something I enjoy alone. I think that the Habs will do great this year but of course I'm only saying that because I want them to do great. I'm just kidding! But so far they are off to a great start so they are most likely to do great this year!

When it come to the hockey season I watch every game, even if Montreal is not playing. I also love watching hockey because I get to spend time with my family and we have a lot of fun. So far this year I went to one of the pre season games. It was Toronto vs Montreal and my friend and I sat right next to the Toronto Maple leafs bench. It was really fun because I waved at one of them and they waved back. Also during that game one of the hockey pucks went into the stands right near us and my friend caught it. She gave it to me because no one in her family was really a hockey fan. I have the hockey puck that was used in that game and I'm going to give it to my brother either for Christmas or for his birthday ( He's a HUGE hockey fan). I think that the habs will do great this year. Already they have a great start winning 4-0 against Pittsburg. The only thing I'm still sad about is that P.K. Suban is not on the team. He was and still is my favourite player. Every game I go watch I still wear P.K.'s number 76 and I don't care if he is not on the team anymore I still support him. Now my 2 favourite teams are Montreal and Nashville. One day I would love to see them play against each other it would be so amazing. Sierra

When you said the word habs it reminded me that it took me 10 years to figure out that habs was based of the french word "habitants". I hope your right about the Canadians!
I am a big fan of the Montreal Canadiens! I especially love watching Carey Price! He is an awesome goal keeper! I also like watching Brendan Gallagher, who plays right wing and is one of the best point scorers. I am very sad that the team lost P.K. Subban, because I thought he was one of the Canadiens best players at making slapshots.
The Canadiens are off to a great start for the new season, but it is way too early to predict how well they will do. I, for one, will be cheering them on and hope they make it into the playoffs!!! It would be truly amazing if they were to win the Stanley Cup..... One can only dream.... Go Habs Go!!!!

Last year, in english class, every month, we would do a project and it was called “Current Events” and I did my presentation on that subject. I honestly didn’t like the fact that there were no canadian teams in the playoffs because I have a lot of favourite hockey teams and most of them are canadian teams so it sort of disappointed me.

This is my fifth year playing hockey and it’s so much fun. From the great, amazing, lovely teammates, to the great developpement I get every year, and of course being there on the ice. It’s all so much fun.! I love getting the chance to watch a Canadiens game. They’re honestly exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. I can’t say if the Canadiens will do good or not this year, the decision is up to them. If they choose to work their hardest and give it their best then they will get far in the regular season and the playoffs. I think that the canadian teams could for sure do better. They are always the underdogs so I think that they just have to work hard and make some good decisions for the team to be in the playoffs. I do hope that some canadian teams do make the playoffs, but more importantly I hope the Montreal Canadiens make the playoffs and do really well throughout the season. Bottom line… GO HABS GO!!!!!

I'm not a big fan of hockey but I still have my opinion. I don't think that the Montreal Canadiens are going to make it very far simply because they lost P.K Suban and he was a big part of the team and he was a very good hockey player and not only that but he did a lot for Montreal. For example he made the biggest donation in sports history he donated 10,000,000 dollars to the children's hospital and they even have his picture up outside the hospital. They say that this new guy that they got is really good but we will have to wait and see. i heard that people said that the team drafted him because he wasn't a team player. For example he didn't tell the team he was going to make that big donation so they were mad at him for that but I don't understand why they got mad because he did a really good thing and he doesn't need their permission! So I'm not really sure that they will be able to pull it off although they do have Carey Price back so it might be possible for them to do it! But the proof will be in the playing!
We really do need Pk Subban back, he is a big piece of the team. Donating $10 000 000 to the children's hospital was so generous! Why would we want to trade such a great hockey player and such a great guy. Nice blog.

It was also really unfortunate to see some of our best players being injured, it probably discouraged the team as well. This year, so far, the Montreal Canadians have done great! They have a lot of new players that I've never seen before, and a few old players that are no longer on the team (PK). I really can't pressume what will happen, but so far it's going great! Bring home the Stanley!

Hockey is one of the many sports I do not follow and have no interest in it but I learn about sports just by occasionally hearing people's conversations about them. Although the Canadians did well, I do not have high hopes be cause it was their first game. However I do think there is a chance a Canadian team will make it into the playoffs.
I am actually not a hockey fan. I've never been able to find out what channel it's on, and honestly I don't care enough to look on every channel for it! The one thing I have heard is that P.K Subban has been transferred to another team. I also hear many people talk about how he is so good at this sport. I think that because P.K Subban transferred teams, it will repeat again this year and they will not make the playoffs.:(
