- The purpose of blogging is to give you the opportunity to share and express your thoughts and ideas without the worry of making spelling and grammar mistakes. - Follow the rubric (see classroom notes). Blogs will be evaluated in Competency 3 (producing texts/writing) and are a significant part of the Learner Profile.
Some important rules to consider when posting your entries:
- Make sure to include your name at the top or bottom of your blog entry.
- Avoid long confusing sentences. Be clear with your ideas. Use short sentences.
- You need to reply to your peers’ blog entries but remember to be respectful, polite, and considerate; any form of disrespect, bullying, threatening and/or taunting will be taken extremely seriously and addressed with administration.
- Blogging is a great way to get your message out to the class/teacher. Don't lose the privilege of being a successful student blogger.
- Have fun! Don’t be shy to disagree or challenge ideas!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite fairytale as a child is= Aladin
ReplyDeleteI always loved the story of Aladin. Jasmine was always my favorite princess because I thought she was really pretty and loved her sparkly blue outfit. Also some people know I'm an animal lover and I have been since day one so to me I thought it was really cool that she has a pet tiger named Raja and Aladin has a pet monkey named Abu. Also not even counting Raja and Abu there are a ton of animals in this story like Lago Jafar's parrot, Jafar is a snake, in the genie's song "You'll never have a friend like me" there are elephants, etc . Last but not least I love to travel the world with my family one day so it's cool that Jasmine and Aladin got to travel the world together and see so many different countries and cultures.

Delete"You'll never have a friend like me" and “A whole new world”was a song I love from the movie Aladdin when I was younger!
I love your blog and the fairy tale Aladdin is great!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger my favorite fairy tale was Beauty and the Beast. This fairy tale was my favorite story because when I was younger I always thought that I was Princesse Belle. We have some things in common like, we are both friendly, I have the same hair color, my name is Isa(bella) and when I was younger my two favorite colors were yellow and blue and Princesse Belle always had a yellow and blue dress. Beauty and the Beast was also my favorite fairy tale because I always loved all the things Belle had to go through to get and find her father. The last thing that I like about the story was that the beautiful prince became into a beast and he fell in love with a beautiful Princess.

Isabella,
DeleteKudos for having chosen Beauty and the Beast. I used to be a fan of all of the Disney princesses too! I used to sit and watch the movies and read the books all the time. Your blog reminded me of my younger years. Great Blog!!
I also really enjoyed Beauty and the Beauty and the Beast as a child.I also always use to think that I was a Disney princess. Amazing Blog

ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, my favorite fairy tale was Cinderella. I especially liked Cinderella's character. She was humble, obedient and never complained about the chores she was given despite the nastiness and unfair treatment she had to endure from her step-mother and step-sisters. I loved her natural beauty, even though she had to dress in ripped clothes and was always covered in dirt. I especially liked the ending, as Cinderella is chosen by the prince to be his wife. I think the moral of the story is important because it teaches us that hard work and being nice pay off.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my favourite fairytales two! I loved how u included the moral of the story. Nice blog Tiffany!

ReplyDeleteAs a child, my favorite fairy tale was always The Little Match Girl.
As a child, it was a tradition that my mom would read me this story on every Christmas Eve because it’s a Christmas story. Even today I find it an amazing story. The reason that this story is my favorite is because, it sends a very important message to the reader saying to always be grateful of what you have. Not to be envious of other people because they have something you want or you wish you had. In the story, the little girl’s family didn’t have much money but they were still grateful of what they had.

Great Blog Loredana! The Little Match Girl is an amazing Fairy Tale, and it's very emotional too. I liked the way you explained why it sends such an important message to people, love it!

ReplyDeleteAs a child, my Favorite fairy tale was Cinderella. I don't really even know why i liked fairy tales because i was always on the outside playing sports. For some reason, i wasn't really the fairy tale/princess type of girl but for some odd reason, Cinderella just stood out for me. That was the only fairy tale i really enjoyed because i felt like i just had a special connection. I felt like I could just read the books and watch the movies over and over again every day. It almost felt like i enjoyed it more than sports, and when i noticed that, i said to myself "I belong on the basketball court, not reading fairy tales” but it’s like i just wouldn’t listen to myself. So for about a year after that, i spent more time reading Cinderella that playing sports.
ReplyDeleteOh I loved Cinderella. Her Step Mother and Step Sisters were very mean though. Last year I had to present a fairy tale by acting it out and I chose Cinderella. Even Though its not my absolute favorite its up there in the list of story's I really like. It was super fun to act out.
DeleteNice Blog By the way :).

My favorite Fairy Tale when I was younger was definitely Peter Pan. I loved all the characters and how Wendy, John and Micheal gave up so easily on their every day normal lives for a land full of magic! That's another thing I love about this story, the magic, like Tinker Bell's fairy dust and Peter Pan's shadow. Speaking of Peter Pan, I wonder why he didn't want to grow up? I I think that's what makes this story inspirational, it taught me not to grow up too fast but at my own pace, and that growing up is a beautiful part of life. Love this story!
